My recent addiction.

I have been addicted to Hot Chocolate lately! I tried quite a few in Singapore and most of them are either too milky or watery. The best hot chocolate I had so far are the ones from Hollys in Seoul. The Real Belgian Hot Chocolate from Hollys and korea strawberries are my daily must-haves back in those “Seoul Searching” days.

I thought I had to give up the quest of finding the best hot chocolate in Singapore till I found this..

Max Brenner Melting Marshmallow Hot Chocolate!!!
It’s almost similar to the Hollys hot chocolate; rich and smooth but its slightly thicker!
The melted marshmallows are very soft and gooey, goes really well with the hot chocolate!

If you are not a big fan of hot beverages, can try their popular Pure Chocolate Truffle Granita Drink.

It’s really awesome, once you try this you will not fancy those normal chocolate milkshake. The portion is a tad too big, share this with somebody else!

Wild Honey; no place like home.

Finally visited Wild Honey with my girlfriends!
Wanted to try this last year but the queue at Mandarin Gallery is forever-long and we have to place our order before we are seated. #dunlike

We went to the one at Scott’s Square.
We had to wait for abt 10-15 minutes before we were seated and the waiting time for food was pretty long.
While waiting for the food to be served, I unwrapped the big present my ladies gave me.

We had some drinks after the very filling brunch. My hot chocolate was a tad too sweet. Mag had this honey+cinnamon+vanilla drink which was quite yucky.

I saw a lot of people ordered their signature drink; Queen Bee. I’m gonna try that on my next visit!

My verdict:

Food:
7.5/10
“A pictures speaks a thousand words.” Need I say more? I will love to try their other “breakfasts” as well!

Price:
5.5/10
Quite pricey, we paid about $30+ each for a maincourse and a drink.

Service:
7.5/10
Very friendly and helpful staffs.

Riders Cafe

Tried Riders Cafe quite a while ago as I was craving for poached eggs
and pancakes for Dinner. Yes, Dinner!

We went straight without making any reservations and ended up waiting for
quite some time before we get our table.

When we finally settled down for a table for 4, I scanned through the menu
and realised Riders Cafe do not serve “ALL DAY BREAKFAST!”

Disappointed much, we go ahead and made our orders.

Here’s what we ordered:

Food was so-so, not really fantastic.

I dragged Hubby and Nil to try their brunch on another weekend, this time round we made a reservation and I ordered the following!

I finally had the highly raved Morning Pancakes with berries compote, whipped cream and maple syrup while hubby had the riders breakfast.

Verdict?

Not too bad but it isn’t that great that I will crave for it.

Overall,

Food: 6/10

Ambience: 7/10 ( If you’re lucky you can see horses trotting and of course some indescribable smell from the horses as well!)

Tawandang Microbrewery; The Modern Thai Cuisine

Thinking of what to have for dinner with your group of friends and where to head for desserts or a couple of drinks after? At Tawandang, you can save the hassle of travelling from one place to another. It’s an ideal place for dinner and a ideal place for chill!

This is my 2nd time here at Tawandang, they have good live band, good food and nice ambience. Brought my parents this time round to try the highly raved Deep Fried Pork Knuckle. It’s one of the best I’ve tried so far, cripsy and most importanly it does not have this pig stench which can be quite unbearable.

Here’s the main lead of the night.

This plain -looking cabbage is good stuff!

The fish is a little too hard but the sauce is awesome, it’s like tomyam but without the spiciness.

Fluffy omeltte.

Glad they like Tawandang a lot too!

The traditional thai dessert; Mango Sticky Rice!

My Birthday Celebration II – Arirang Korean Restaurant

Celebrated my actual birthday with my favourite girls at another of my favourite restaurant! I’ve mentioned about this korean bbq before in my blog and even recommended it to monkey. But surprisingly her first experience there with shark was a bad one and somehow they condemned that place and refused to eat there ever again. However being the birthday girl, I have the privilege to choose what I wanna eat! So I chose this place, reason being..

I’m really craving for their pancakes and bbq chicken! And also hopefully I can change their view about this place!  To be frank, I know some bloggers gave nasty comment about this place too and i seriously wonder why..

Ive tried the very popular Togi Korean Restaurant before with Momo, but I didnt really like it. Perhaps we didnt know what to order…

To me Arirang may not be really that “korean-korean” but its really good enough for me! Maybe put it in this way, do not have too much expectation when u visit, just treat it as Seoul Garden? It will definitely surprise u!

About $23 nett for the dinner buffet, with a big variety!  Remb to save some space for their dessert!

Dunno when they started the tradition of feeding bdae girl with leftover cake..

Had so much cake……

And there’s another cake waiting for me at home from Momo! ♥

May all my wishes come true~~~!
Thank U girls for celebratiing my bdae with me!  many many more years to come!

Our 3rd “Birthday”!

SimpleSweet Affair..

Our first time trying out Parma Ham.

Not a huge fan of parma ham, its so yucky and the taste of the “raw pork” still lingers after we finished our meal.

Usually when momo dislike to eat someting, I will eat it for him or vice-versa.

This time we finally found something that we both dislike TO THE MAX!

We had such a hard time clearing the appetizer.

Look at his expressions and you will know, its a torture to eat parma ham!

Forcing me to eat. =_=

Terrible appetizer aside, e restaurant really has a nice ambience and super yummy pizza/pasta!

We chose to dine outdoor(very windy),  that explains my messy hair.

Thin crust Mushroom and ham pizza! YUMMMMMMY!

Generous portion of fresh crabmeat! Really nice!

We will definitely go back for more pizza and pasta!

Ok Im really hungry now.
